We are thrilled to announce that our Annual Heart of the Valley Gala is happening on October 5, 2024! Please SAVE THE DATE! This year we are delighted to be honoring Carol Rebscher, longtime valley resident, community center volunteer and board member who for more than 25 years has been a great valley connector and invaluable supporter of our congregate senior lunch program.
The Gala is our most important fundraising event of the year and kicks off our Annual Campaign where we raise the majority of our yearly budget. You can support the Community Center by becoming an event Sponsor! All sponsorship levels offer tickets, donor benefits, and of course contribute to our mission and vision of fostering healthy communities! Learn more about sponsorship opportunities here or contact Development Coordinator, Albert DeSilver at adesilver@sgvcc.org.
Tickets are $175 and are available here.
Outright gifts can include cash, as well as personal or cashier checks. All cash or check gifts are tax-deductible.

We deeply appreciate your donation at this unprecedented time in our lives. Every donation impacts the Community Center's ability to help meet the needs of our residents. Together, we will continue to navigate this challenging time that has affected all of our lives and we will emerge a stronger and more resilient community, based on love and support for one another.
When you make an ongoing monthly donation, you demonstrate your commitment to our community by becoming a sustaining champion for our mission. These gifts provide predictable funding, allowing us to better plan for the future.
Corporate matching gifts can double or even triple your gift to the Center. It only takes a few minutes to fill out a matching gift form on your employer website.
If you have a donor-advised fund (DAF), making gifts to the San Geronimo Valley Community Center is simple and quick! Donating appreciated, noncash assets through your DAF can be a tax-wise way to make a gift while eliminating capital gains taxes.
Speak to your DAF advisors or reach out to us to support you in the process of donating through a DAF.
If your company or local business wants to invest in our community and help create a healthy West Marin, we'd like to partner with you.
Gifts of stock or other appreciated property offer two-fold tax savings. Donors pay no capital gains on the increased value of the appreciated property and receive an income tax deduction for the full market value at the time of the gift. A gift of appreciated securities may be right for you if:
• You want to diversify your assets without having to pay the capital gains taxes that would result from the sale of appreciated stocks, bonds or mutual funds
• You are holding stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares for more than a year and they have increased in value.
• You want to make a gift that does not affect cash flow or liquidity.
If you wish to donate stock, please give your broker the following information:
Account number: Z40-122451 Name of account: San Geronimo Valley Community CenterDTC Clearing #0226: Fidelity Investments (National Financial Services)
Please call 415-488-8888 or email hferlino@sgvcc.org so that we know the transfer of gifts is coming and we can identify your gift when it comes into our account.
Gifts of real estate property, either in entirety or in part, can be deeded to the Center during your lifetime or as part of your legacy planned giving. Gifting can occur even while you continue to occupy the property.
Donating a car, boat or any type of vehicle is easy. We accept most, regardless of condition and you’ll get a great tax deduction. Click here to learn more about donating.
If you have a potentially high-value vehicle or any other questions about our vehicle donation program, please reach out to our Development Coordinator Albert DeSilver, adesilver@sgvcc.org.
