Job Overview:
The Family Advocate provides direct support across all Community Center Youth Programs, including Zoila’s, LOFT, VAST, and Summer Camp, by delivering high-quality care and supervision for participating children and youth. This position is assigned to different programs as needed to ensure proper coverage, support the team, and maintain smooth daily operations across all youth services.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Provide attentive supervision and support to children and youth in program settings
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for participants and families
  • Assist with daily program activities, transitions, and routines
  • Support program staff with behavior guidance and conflict resolution when needed
  • Help maintain organized, clean, and welcoming program spaces
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with families, staff, and community members
  • Adapt to changing program needs and provide coverage across multiple youth programs
  • Follow all Community Center policies and safety procedures

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience working with children and/or teens in educational, recreational, or youth development settings preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt to a variety of program environments
  • Passion for supporting youth and families in a community-based setting
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
