We know everyone is doing their best under these trying circumstances and in our community, it is not uncommon to allow our teens and children some freedom and independence. However, these are not common times, and we all need to take the threat of COVID-19 seriously.
For the health of your children, our senior population, and those that have health concerns, you must (and your children must) comply with the Public Health Order:
Everyone must stay home except to get food, care for a relative or friend, get necessary health care, or go to an essential job. It is OK to go outside for walks or other exercise if you are not in a group and following social distancing guidelines.
Don’t gather with others. That means no playdates, no meeting up with friends, and no visitors. The goal is to minimize the frequency of communal contacts and interactions to slow the spread of this virus.
These measures may feel extreme, but they are critical to protecting our loved ones and neighbors. If we work together, we can reduce the spread of the coronavirus and save lives. But we must maintain social distancing and stay at home. We need everyone’s help and cooperation right now to reduce the spread of the virus.
