San Geronimo Valley Community Center and Hannah Doress Events Present National Award-winning female vocal ensemble: Solstice

Bay Area Regional Champions and national Harmony Sweeps top three award winners, the female septet Solstice has enthralled audiences for twenty years. From Bartók to Björk, from Palestrina to Paul Simon, Solstice shares the music they love from around the world and through the ages. A Solstice concert will transport you to new places, bathe you in beautiful harmony and fill you with the joy of music performed with passion. They are committed to performing new works for women’s voices and regularly compose, commission, and arrange new songs.

Solstice has long been a SGVCC favorite, with many sold-out and standing ovation shows. They love the sophistication of the local audience, the acoustic of the Valley Room and supporting the Community Center programs, especially the food pantry.

Members of Solstice are highly accomplished musicians who have performed in venues including Carnegie Hall, Tanglewood, and Boston Symphony Hall, performed with top groups such as San Francisco Symphony Chorus, and have performed with luminaries like Yo-Yo Ma. The current Solstice members are Becca Burrington of Oakland, Emily Bender of San Carlos (formerly of Fairfax),  Kim Warsaw of Menlo Park, Krista Enos of El Granada, Lark Coryell of Guernville and Sara Webb-Schmitz of Richmond. This will be Female baritone Lark Coryell’s final season with Solstice.

Emcee: Hannah Doress, Events Programmer at SGVCC from 2009-2015 looks forward to seeing you!
