Conservation Photography Workshop

Open to young adults 13-18 years of age.
Conservation Kids and San Geronimo Valley Community Center have teamed up to offer a conservation photography workshop to young adults in Marin County. The workshop will be led by professional photographer Daniel Dietrich (www.danieldietrichphotography.com, www.pointreyessafaris.com).
The workshop will include:
- A presentation on conservation photography and how imagery can be used as a powerful conservation tool
- The use of professional DSLR cameras and lenses provided by Conservation Kids
- A lesson on how to use the equipment and on basic photography
- In the field lessons and exploration to use the equipment to capture images of the nature surrounding us
Upon termination of the class, Conservation Kids will post process the best images from the day and post the images on their website for 30 days for friends and family to view (and purchase if desired). Proceeds from the image sales will benefit Conservation Kids, San Geronimo Valley Community Center and if appropriate an environmental non-profit chosen by the participants.
Participants should have at least a general interest in photography. Participants must provide a list of 10 email addresses of friends and family who would be interested in seeing and possibly purchasing an image in support of the event.
The class is free of charge and is open to the first 16 registrants who complete the registration packet including the Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk form, as well as provides the required email list.
