The Latino Photo Project: “Now and Then”

El Proyecto Fotográfico Latino: “De vez en cuando”

In conjunction with the film screening the San Geronimo Valley Community Center proudly presents art from the Gallery Route One Latino Photography Project in the Maurice Del Mue Galleries during the month of November.

The Latino Photography Project was launched in 2003 by Gallery Route One, in effort to engage creatively with the twenty per cent of the West Marin population who are Latino. Over the years, the class has taken on a wide variety of issues including the immigrant experience, Main Street, housing, sustainability, bridge-building, food and culture and the environment.

The Latino Photo Project has exhibited at the Bolinas Museum, Marin Community Foundation Gallery, Pt. Reyes National Park headquarters, Marin Academy, Pt. Reyes Library as well as Gallery Route One.

The artists are: Gisela Alvarado, Beatriz Gomez, Teresa Jesus Gutierrez, Agustina Martinez, Maricela Mora, Jessica Oliva, Ana Maria Ramirez and Rosa Rodriguez.

Special thank you to Nancy Bertelsen, Bonnie White and Gallery Route One for making this exhibit possible.
