Come join your community on November 4th at 11:00 a.m. just after the Senior Stroll, the San Geronimo Valley Community Center will be hosting a Tea and Cookies Get Together for Seniors – now on the first and third Friday of the month! Enjoy this casual get-together with staff and other seniors in our community. At the beginning of the Tea, Marin Center for Independent Living is facilitating an engaging discussion, “Resiliency.” What is RESILIENCY? How can we become more resilient, both individually and communally? During our discussion, we will talk about resiliency with respect to climate change, preparedness and aging.
We will also have information to share and a fabulous raffle prize! Email Nicole at nramirez@sgvcc.org with any questions.
Directly following the Senior Tea until 2:30pm, we are hosting a “Senior Play Date” with activities including dominoes, chess, backgammon, board games, scrabble, cards, dance, music, friendship, conversation, discussion and more. Highlights for this week include:
- Games will be hosted by Carol Williams
- Schmoozin’ with Suz-en — convivial conversation with Suzanne Sadowsky. Bring your thoughts, ideas, and knitting and yap! We’ll talk about anything that comes to mind.
- YES! Tad Alvord will be cookin’ up some hot dogs! Both beef and vegan. Yum!!
