The San Geronimo Valley Community Center proudly presents the work of Geoff Bernstein in the Valley Room of the Community Center in November. There will be a reception for the artist on Sunday, November 12th from 4 – 7 pm.
Early in his studies Bernstein participated in courses at the Rhode Island School of Design and apprenticed to Eugene Massin at the University of Miami. He has studied at Art Students League, Academie des Beaux Arts, Paris, Atelier La Couriere-Frelaut and Academia dei Belli Arte, Rome and Florence.
After years of study and travel Bernstein made his way to California in 1971 and ultimately to the San Geronimo Valley.
Gerald Fleming of the Barnabe Mountain Review literary magazine has said that Bernstein is “an artist whose archaeology is incredibly wide, and whose range in both subject matter and media is formidable”.
Geoff has exhibited at Galleria Fornaci, Rome, Design Center, Hawaii, Rose Bernardi Gallery, Sausalito, Galeria Mesa, Arizonia, Pat McMahon Gallery, Colorado, The Falkirk Annual Juried Exhibition, Provincetown Art Association, Sebastopol Center for the Arts and the Bolinas Museum.
