Join a relaxed environment to learn the basics of personal finance and investing. The goal of the workshop is to promote financial independence through education. This workshop started at the Center in 2014 and has received great feedback from past attendees.

While the meetings are intended for those just getting started (or needing a kickstart) they are open to all interested. The workshops aim to share “uncommon knowledge” and insights gained through a career in investing; they are intentionally not sales-oriented—no pushing investment products, recommending individual stocks/bonds, making economic forecasts, or debating esoteric strategies here.

Johnny has lived in Marin for more than 25 years and is a past Treasurer of the Board of Directors at the San Geronimo Valley Community Center. He has worked in finance for 30 years and runs a consulting practice, Phoundational LLC.

When: February 9 and February 16, from 6:30-8:00.

Where: Classes will be held both in-person in the Community Center East Room and on Zoom for those that are not comfortable attending an in-person class. Masks will be required for all in-person attendees.
