Detect & Connect is a workshop funded by the Mental Health Services Act of Marin County that offers skills in recognizing these issues, with valuable ways to communicate in those challenging moments, whether a friend, family member or anyone in your life. Please join us for a highly interactive presentation to help:
- Detect the differences between normal aging and normal aging behaviours
- Identify symptoms and behaviors of dementia
- Learn how to connect with your loved one
- Understand appropriate responses with compassion to this behavior
- Engage in effective ways to communicate with older adults
- Outline resources and support services
