The San Geronimo Valley Community Center is extremely pleased to present the works of Alicia Retes and Peg Hunter, our September artists in the Maurice Del Mue Galleries. Their art is on display from September 6th – 31st.

There will be a reception for the artists this Sunday, September 11th from 4-7 p.m.

Alicia M. Retes, a storytelling artisan, creates visual imagery paired with stories about her five foot tall corn husk sculptures for the tale of “Three Sisters- Corn, Bean and Squash”. Aside from exhibiting her corn husk sculptural pieces she will conduct workshops in conjunction with the Center’s International Day of Peace Festival during the month. Alicia Retes’ work is on display in the West Room.

Peg Hunter is a photographer focused on immigration, social justice, climate justice and the health of families, communities and the planet. Her show “Protecting Land, Water, Community – Peace Through Justice and a Sustainable Future” is on exhibit in the Valley Room.
