Due to the current Covid-19 surge, we are relaunching the Covid-19 Financial Assistance program for the month of January. New and repeat applicants are welcome to apply. To receive financial assistance, applicants must demonstrate direct financial impact related to Covid-19. Examples may include: unable to work due to positive Covid-19 test, unable to work due to childcare closures because of Covid-19, or increased medical expenses due to Covid-19 infection. Grants will be awarded up to $500.
To apply, please return the application and proof of residency (applicants must be a San Geronimo Valley or Nicasio resident) to firstname.lastname@example.org, mail your application to PO Box 194, San Geronimo, Ca 94963, or return to the application to the main office. In your application, be sure to fully explain your circumstance, the impact of Covid-19 on your financial situation, the support you are requesting, and how these funds will be used.
We will be accepting applications throughout the month of January and will be processing applications on a rolling basis.
*Note: this program is for the month of January only and is not guaranteed to continue.

If you are experiencing financial hardship because of reasons outside the Covid-19 pandemic or you need additional financial support, the San Geronimo Valley Emergency Fund is still accepting applications as normal. Please see their San Geronimo Valley Emergency Fund Application.
Those unable to work during this time are able to apply for unemployment insurance.
Those infected by COVID-19 may apply for disability insurance. The California Governor’s Executive Order waives the one-week unpaid waiting period, so you can collect DI benefits for the first week you are out of work. If you are eligible, the EDD processes and issues payments within a few weeks of receiving a claim.
