 Holiday camp will be offered in the Loft during school brakes.
Registration is a must. If we do not have at least 5 sign ups, we will be unable to offer care,

Camp fees are $60.00 per day

Tuesday November 1st. This is the day after Halloween and a teacher work day for Lagunitas School. RSVP deadline is Thursday 10/27
Wednesday: November 23rd. This is the day before Thanksgiving. RSVP deadline is Thursday 11/17

“Friends, Sun & Valley Fun”

The Community Center Youth Program is excited to offer our annual summer camp. Send your kids to five exciting, one-week sessions of fun-filled activities for kids 5 to 10 years. We are proud to have an outstanding staff of talented, professional and enthusiastic counselors who are sure to provide a loving and fun environment for campers. We will be offering a wide range of interesting and creative activities that reflect our weekly theme. Past themes have included: Krazy Koncoctions, Plant It-Grow it- Cook It, Eco-Adventure, Silly Summer Sports & Games, Crafty Creations.

Buck Chavez Will also have a Sports Camp at the Community Gym Augest 22-26

If you’re looking for a great place for your kids to spend their daysSGVCC Summer Camp right here in our own beautiful Valley then our camp is just the place. We are so excited to have our camp’s home in the San Geronimo Valley Community Gym and Loft!

The Community Center’s outstanding staff of talented, professional and enthusiastic counselors will provide a loving and fun environment for campers. Julie Young, Howie Cort, Buck Chavez, Sue Waber, and Leslie Gray are just a few of the faces that will be here to play!

We feel the kids should be able to have a say and lead the way with their interests during their days with us. The day flows with the kids without a strict schedule. We will be offering a wide range of interesting & creative activities that reflect our San Geronimo Valley Community Center Summer Campweekly theme: arts & craft projects, organic cooking, music, sports, non-competitive games, and lots of outdoor play.

Each week we will take a field trip or host a special event that will reflect our “weekly theme”, providing our campers an opportunity to expand their creative imaginations beyond camp boundaries for a day.

This year our sessions are as follows & including but not limited to some of these activities:
1. Let’s Get Cookin: from Garden to Table Cooking. Plus “Ace of Cupcakes!” on Friday.
2. Express Yourself: Join us on the camp created  4th of JulySan Geronimo Valley Summer Camp float on Monday & a week of fun       “Spirit Days” Think ….Crazy Hair Day, Backwards Day…who knows what else!  
3. Silly Summer Sports & Games: Traditional Sports a little mixed up
4. Extraordinary Explorations: Outdoor Science Fun. Plus our annual Family Camp-out & BBQ!
5. Crafty Creations: It’s a camp favorite.  Anything Goes! – Make Your Own…?

Getting To Know Our Staff

Our Summer Camp staff all currently work for the San Geronimo Valley Community Center or Lagunitas School District .

Julie Young

Julie did an awesome job as our Summer Day Camp Director last year and we're glad she's back! Julie came to the Community Center three years ago as an AmeriCorps member. She is currently the SGVCC after-school class coordinator and works with the Center's Valley Kid's Club childcare program and Teen Center .

Howie Cort
Howie Cort Howie has over 5 years of experience providing Valley children of all ages with the loving care that they need to grow and thrive. As a sports enthusiast, Howie volunteers her time as a soccer and basketball coach. She will assist Julie this year, as Co-Director of our summer camp.
